MTSU Blue Raiders · Long Snapper · Franklin, TN
Four seasons. One school. A career built on precision, leadership, and the conviction that every detail matters. Long Snapper at Middle Tennessee State — and now building what comes next.
01 — About
I'm Connor Dougherty — a Long Snapper at Middle Tennessee State University, a leader who shows up every day, and someone who cares deeply about the people around him.
Long snapping is an invisible position. Nobody cheers your name when the snap is clean. But when it isn't, everything falls apart. I've built my career embracing that pressure — because I thrive in the details that other people overlook.
I grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, with two brothers and a love of sports that was always bigger than me. I started playing football in the 6th grade and was hooked from day one. When I broke my leg sophomore year of high school, I discovered long snapping — and found something I was truly built for.
Four seasons at MTSU. In today's era of constant transfers, that kind of consistency means something. I committed to this program and these people — and I showed up.
Off the field, I serve on the Leadership Council, sit on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and chair the Mental Health Board for Athletes at MTSU. Because taking care of your teammates doesn't stop when the whistle blows.
"Football has taught me that you're going to fail — but you've got to get up and try again."
